Russia's supply of fertilizers to Brazil contributes to global food security — Lavrov
The Russian foreign minister added that Russian-Brazilian practical cooperation is also strengthening
MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Russia's supply of fertilizers to Brazil allows the two countries to contribute to global food security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"The supply of Russian fertilizers for the needs of the Brazilian agro-industrial complex allows us to make a joint contribution to ensuring global food stability," he said speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the 195th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Lavrov noted that Russian-Brazilian practical cooperation is also strengthening.
"Brazil is the leader in trade turnover with Russia among the states of Latin America and the Caribbean. The key areas of joint efforts are the chemical industry, agriculture, very promising developments in the energy sector, including nuclear, in pharmaceuticals, and peaceful space," Lavrov noted.
