MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Russian troops thwarted a Ukrainian army attack near Priyutnoye in the south Donetsk area, destroying an enemy assault group over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Battlegroup East Spokesman Oleg Chekhov reported on Thursday.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East supported by army aircraft and artillery fire thwarted an attempted enemy attack near Priyutnoye. They destroyed an assault group of the Ukrainian army’s 127th territorial defense brigade," the spokesman said in a video posted on the Defense Ministry’s website.
The battlegroup’s operational/tactical and army aircraft, missile troops and artillery delivered strikes on amassed manpower and military hardware of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized brigade near Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, he added.
"The enemy’s losses amounted to two armored combat vehicles, two motor vehicles and as many as 60 militants killed and wounded," the spokesman said.
