MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Russia has never put obstacles to the reunification of Ukrainian children with their families as it intends to consistently pursue the corresponding policy on the issue, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing.

She recalled Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remark that Russia has never blocked the return of Ukrainian children, given their families are found.

"There have never been any obstacles to that, nor will there ever be any. Russia has adhered to this position clearly and consistently," the diplomat assured reporters.

According to Zakharova, a working mechanism has been established that has proved effective, reliable and transparent in reunifying children with their families. This mechanism makes it possible to treat each case in an individual manner, she added.
