Russia to come back around to how it feels about Europe post-special-op — diplomat
Alexander Grushko stressed that the "leader-wingman" pattern "was out of the question"
MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Russia will revisit its attitude towards European countries after achieving the goals of its special military operation, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said.
"We will decide how to build relations with our European neighbors in the future, after the goals of the special military operations are achieved. This will certainly be based on equality and respect for our legitimate interests," the senior diplomat pointed out in an interview with kp.ru.
He stressed that the "leader-wingman" pattern "was out of the question."
Grushko noted that Russia had been promoting the idea of creating a continent-wide system but Western countries showed a lack of enthusiasm for this proposal. "In fact, the US and its allies rejected indivisible security as the key principle determining countries’ behavior in the military and political fields. The result is well-known," the Russian deputy foreign minister explained.
