Putin to take part in online G20 summit on November 22
The parties are expected "to sum up the results of India’s G20 presidency, discuss the situation in the global economy and finances, the climate agenda, digitalization issues and other topics"
MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in an extraordinary G20 summit on Wednesday, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
"On November 22, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in an extraordinary summit of the Group of 20 (via video link)," the statement reads.
According to the Kremlin press service, the parties are expected "to sum up the results of India’s G20 presidency, discuss the situation in the global economy and finances, the climate agenda, digitalization issues and other topics."
The online summit will be organized by India. The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi came up with the idea of a virtual meeting at an in-person G20 summit that took place in New Delhi on September 9-10.
