Ukraine tries to launch 70-150 weekly strikes on Zaporozhye NPP, Energodar — Russian envoy
Rodion Miroshnik added that during the November 2 rotation of IAEA experts at the ZNPP, Ukraine carried out a massive drone attack that violated the peace protocol
MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces shell the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and Energodar 70-150 times per week in an effort to cause a radiation accident at hazardous facilities, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's special envoy on the crimes of the Kiev regime, told TASS.
"The effort to cause a radiation accident is a standalone matter for the Kiev regime, as the Ukrainian military and other special services have repeatedly made simultaneous attempts to attack three nuclear facilities under Russia’s jurisdiction," Miroshnik said. "The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was most frequently attacked by Ukrainian units. The number of weekly attacks on the ZNPP and Energodar using strike drones ranges from 70 to 150 per week," the diplomat pointed out.
Miroshnik added that during the November 2 rotation of IAEA experts at the ZNPP, Ukraine carried out a massive drone attack that violated the peace protocol.
In addition, the envoy pointed out that the regime of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky "continues to pose security threats to other Russian nuclear facilities." "In particular, on October 26, the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant was subjected to three attacks by Ukrainian drones. Russia has informed the IAEA leadership and the agency's member states about these incidents, which created a risk of radiation contamination that could have transboundary consequences," he emphasized.
