Russia believes no one within region should be excluded from supply chains
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said that the issue of sanctions was not raised at the APEC summit
SAN FRANCISCO /California/, November 17. /TASS/. Russia at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit emphasized that no country in the region should be excluded from supply chains, Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, who heads the Russian delegation at the APEC summit, said.
"We realized that if we are serious about economic development and environment issues, then no country in the region should be excluded from supply chains and global value chains. This is critical in terms of access to technology, as well as in terms of resolving the problem and including other countries in the region in resolving climate issues," he said.
When asked whether the issue of sanctions was raised at the summit, Overchuk replied, "Sanctions weren't brought up, but from the standpoint that all countries should participate in supply chains and no one should be barred from this process, it was mentioned in this context.".
