Russia always open for all except its enemies, says Kremlin
Those who have not left their country, feel passionate for their homeland, Dmitry Peskov went on to say
MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russian citizens will hardly be able to accept those who have "opened their mouth wide" after their departure from the country and "started cursing their Motherland" or, all the more so, supporting the Ukrainian armed forces, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
There are a lot of confused and frightened individuals among those who have left the country, the presidential spokesman pointed out,
"Fear is a normal feeling inherent in people in certain life situations. There is nothing wrong about that. Some people have even left the country. But some individuals have left the country and begun cursing their Motherland, denigrating their homeland. For these individuals, it will be very difficult to come back," the Kremlin press secretary said in an interview with the MGIMO 360 students’ information channel.
As Peskov pointed out, "there is one Motherland for all" and it is "always open for all, except enemies."
"Don’t forget that there are those who have left the country, those who are now abroad, collecting money for the Ukrainian armed forces, trying to help the Ukrainian army. They speak at various public and political forums and curse our country. They mostly slander our country," he said.
In Peskov’s opinion, for these individuals, it will be impossible to return to Russia.
"I say nothing of the laws that will be in effect in relation to them. People will not accept these individuals," the Kremlin press secretary said.
Those who have not left their country, feel passionate for their homeland, Peskov said.
"They will always accept those who have got confused and there is nothing to forgive them for, it is not their fault. But those who, roughly speaking, have opened their mouth wide, cursing their country, for them it will be very difficult to explain to people living in our country. This will be a big problem for such individuals," the presidential spokesman said.
The Kremlin press secretary did not agree with the claim that a considerable number of young people have left the country.
"There are so many guys who have gone to the front as volunteers. There are so many guys who have joined various military formations. There are so many those who have joined the mobilization campaign and are now fighting. All of them have stayed in the country," Peskov said.
Only "a small part of society" has relocated to other countries, the Kremlin press secretary said.
In Peskov’s opinion, such acts cannot be explained by the state’s allegedly insufficient explanations. "That is, all understood, except for them. This is largely their problem, probably. And it is not the state that should deal with these problems," Peskov pointed out.
