MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Nearly 100 Russian citizens have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah checkpoint, the Russian emergencies ministry said on Monday.

"The Russian emergencies ministry continues its work at the Rafah crossing. As of this moment, as many as 98 Russian nationals have crossed the border via this checkpoint," a ministry spokesman told TASS.

Russia’s emergencies ministry jointly with Russian diplomats are actively working to evacuate Russians from the Gaza Strip. On Sunday, 70 Russian nationals, including 28 children, crossed into Egypt via the Rafah checkpoint. They were met by ministry specialists who offered these people medical and psychological assistance.
