Putin describes Thursday’s talks with Tokayev as productive

According to the Russian leader, it is important that some of the documents adopted today set "truly ambitious goals to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership" between Russia and Kazakhstan

ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described his talks with Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Thursday as constructive and productive.

"Today's talks were held in a really businesslike and constructive manner and were very productive. We thoroughly discussed the whole range of bilateral ties and were briefed by the leadership of ministries, agencies and major companies on key areas of Russian-Kazakh cooperation," he said after the meeting.

According to Putin, it is important that some of the documents adopted today set "truly ambitious goals to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership" between Russia and Kazakhstan. This will be helped by the intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements that cover different areas of cooperation, he said.
