MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin asked that his best wishes be conveyed to Chinese President Xi Jinping at a meeting with Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission.
The Russian leader recalled that he had recently visited Beijing. "Straight away I would like to ask you to convey to the Chinese President my best wishes and words of gratitude for the warm welcome. We have indeed developed very friendly, good personal and business relations. This gives us an opportunity to maintain the strategic nature of our interstate ties," the Russian president said.
Addressing Zhang Youxia, Putin assured that he was very happy to see him in Russia. "You and I met a few years ago - I believe also here, in Novo-Ogaryovo. That is why we have a good tradition of meeting at the country residence of the Russian president," the Russian leader said, smiling.
