Evacuation of Russians from Gaza pending Israeli consent — diplomatic source
"The Russian Embassy has repeatedly raised this issue and received assurances that it would be resolved," the source added
MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The evacuation of Russians from the Gaza Strip is ready to be carried out, but Israel has not given the go-ahead to do so yet, a diplomatic source told TASS.
"Everything is ready to start the evacuation of Russian nationals, fellow countrymen and CIS citizens from Gaza. Regretfully, there is no consent from the Israeli side, which is coordinating the lists of those leaving through the Rafah border crossing," the source said.
"The Russian Embassy has repeatedly raised this issue and received assurances that it would be resolved. Moscow hopes that Israel will clear up this evacuation problem as soon as possible," the source added.
Earlier, Aliya Zaripova, Spokesperson for the Russian Mission to the Palestinian National Authority, said that over 900 people are on the Russian list for evacuation from Gaza, including more than 500 Russians.
