GENICHESK, November 3. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed Ukrainian artillery and amassed enemy troops in the Kherson area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, a spokesman for the regional emergency services reported on Friday.

"Dnepr battlegroup units inflicted damage on the enemy by firepower in the Kherson direction, destroying a 152mm 2A36 Giatsint-B towed field gun near the settlement of Inzhenernoye (the Ukrainian army’s losses: five soldiers were killed and two others were wounded), a D-30 howitzer with ammunition near the settlement of Tyaginka (casualties: four Ukrainian personnel were killed and three others were wounded), two enemy boats near Alyoshkinsky Island (casualties: 12 Ukrainian servicemen were killed), amassed adversary manpower near the settlement of Krynki (casualties: 20 Ukrainian troops were killed)," the spokesman said.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian 120mm mortar with its team and ammunition near the settlement of Tokarevka in the island zone and a Ukrainian army position in the Kakhovka direction, he said.

On November 2, the Ukrainian military fired 11 artillery shells against the settlement of Peschanovka, 10 shells against Krynki, 8 shells against Noviye Lageri, 8 shells against Staraya Zburyevka, 6 shells against Sagy and 5 shells against Kardashinka, the spokesman said.

Over the past night, the Ukrainian army shelled civilian infrastructure in the communities of Alyoshki, Dnepryany, Kakhovka, Korsunka, Novaya Kakhovka, Obryvka and Radensk, firing a total of 26 artillery rounds, he said.
