Aid to Kiev, rejection of Russian energy will worsen situation in Poland — Medvedev

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Assistance to the Kiev regime and rejection of Russian energy resources will worsen the situation in Poland, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in an article published by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
"Let's be fair: Despite all the geopolitical excitement, Poland still remains a ‘historical loser,’ a ‘backyard’ state that is seriously lagging behind the leading Western European countries in its development. It has not managed to get out of the matrix of 'perpetual catching-up development,' to get rid of the humiliating features inherent in limitrophe nations," Medvedev wrote.
Additionally, he said that "a significant influx of Ukrainian refugees and the reckless rejection of Russian energy resources will continue to worsen its [the Polish state's] social and economic situation and hurt the pockets of millions of ordinary Poles."
