GROZNY, October 31. /TASS/. Those wishing to stir up conflicts on inter-religious grounds in Chechnya will not succeed, the region’s Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudaev believes.

"The Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov pays exhaustive attention to strengthening the brotherhood of the peoples living in the Chechen Republic. All those wishing to ignite conflicts on inter-religious grounds in the region will be doomed to failure," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Dudaev recounted a meeting with the ministry's leadership and subordinate media outlets to discuss attempts to destabilize the situation in Russia through the spread of blatantly false information. "I especially emphasized that one should not fall for the calls of provocateurs who are actively stirring up ethnic discord in the country, taking advantage of the situation in the Middle East," he added.

Mass riots took place at the Makhachkala airport on October 29 due to the arrival of a regular flight from Tel Aviv amid the escalation of tensions in the Middle East. Several hundred people entered the airport building and the airfield and stayed there before they were forced to leave by law enforcement officers. According to the latest data, more than 20 people were injured, including police officers, and more than 80 rioters were detained. Dagestani authorities and religious leaders condemned the incident, calling it a provocation.
