Head of Muslim Center urges citizens not to respond to provocations from outside
Ismail Berdiyev recommended "the population try to take in information more objectively"
CHERKESSK, October 30. /TASS/. Chairman of the Coordinating Center of Muslims in the North Caucasus Ismail Berdiyev urged residents of the region not to fall victim to provocations from other countries which are aimed at destabilizing the situation.
"The situation is quite complicated and unstable. There are forces that do not like our tranquility, and now they are stirring things up in society again. We do not do this, they do. I believe that this is an influence that people have fallen prey to," Berdiyev told TASS.
He also urged residents of the region not to give in to provocations. "I recommend the population try to take in information more objectively <...> and go about their business. And I hope that all the guilty will be punished," Berdiyev added.
