Kiev loses 200 troops in attacks in Zaporozhye area over past day
Russian forces successfully carried out an attack near the settlements of Staromayorskoye and Novodonetskoye in the DPR, with artillery battles continuing in that area, Vladimir Rogov said
MELITOPOL, October 30. /TASS/. Russian forces repulsed five Ukrainian army attacks near Vremevka in the Zaporozhye area, eliminating roughly 200 enemy troops over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told TASS on Monday.
"In the Vremevka direction, our forces repelled five enemy attacks over the past day. Our forces hammered the enemy by artillery, mortars and multiple launch rocket systems. The [Ukrainian army’s] losses [totaled] about 200 militants, two armored personnel carriers, a howitzer and several cross-country vehicles," Rogov said.
Russian forces also successfully carried out an attack near the settlements of Staromayorskoye and Novodonetskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, with artillery battles continuing in that area, the politician said.
"The Ukrainian military is conducting massive bombardments of Urozhainoye, Zolotaya Niva and Staromayorskoye," he said.
The Ukrainian military has been making unsuccessful attempts to advance since June 4. As Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on October 30, the Kiev regime has lost more than 90,000 troops killed and wounded, about 600 tanks and 1,900 armored vehicles over this period.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 15 that the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive had completely failed, although Kiev was preparing new offensive operations in some frontline sectors.
