Russia succeeds in fully adapting to sanctions regime, Kremlin reiterates
"It is quite easy to predict that attempts to hold our economy back will continue," Dmitry Peskov said
MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Russia has been living under a regime of sanctions for a long time and has fully adapted to it, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Russia has been living under a sanctions regime for quite a long time, for decades, so we have sufficiently adapted to it," he said.
"Of course, such time horizons as five years and further do not scare us at all. It is quite easy to predict that attempts to hold our economy back will continue," he added.
According to Peskov, Russia is taking measures in this regard, which are producing results and allowing the country to follow the path of further development.
"As for new packages [of sanctions] - they are being prepared, this is also well known and predictable," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
"Previously, in the oil market, the price cap issue was also well known to us. We could argue a lot and question the effectiveness of these decisions, but we can only anticipate what else our opponents might come up with next," he added.
