Collective West possesses only limited potential for producing munitions — Kremlin
It is reported that a lot of time is needed to mobilize resources in order to increase this potential
MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The collective West requires a substantial amount of time to replenish the necessary resources for producing munitions, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a conversation with journalists.
"In a practical sense, of course, a specialist assessment is needed here, mainly from the Defense Ministry; so, here, I wouldn’t venture to say anything," the Kremlin official said when asked to comment on a recent statement by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal that a huge deficit of ordnance is being seen worldwide.
"In general, certainly, the collective West’s potential to produce munitions is limited; a lot of time is needed to mobilize resources in order to increase this potential. So, of course, certain tension spots are emerging," Peskov added.
As Shmygal noted earlier, the Kiev regime’s current priority is setting up ordnance-producing joint ventures with the US and European defense companies. That said, some Western countries are wary of concluding such agreements due to the security risks involved in siting their production facilities in Ukraine, the Financial Times noted.
