Russia calls on Palestine and Israel to cease fire – Deputy Foreign Minister

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Russia is in contact with Israel, Palestine, and Arab countries and calls on all parties involved in the conflict to cease fire, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told TASS.
"This is a relapse of a 75-year-old conflict. Moscow is in contact with all parties, including the Arab states. We call for an immediate ceasefire and peace," he said.
The Middle East peace process must be launched on the basis of internationally recognized agreements, he added. "We urge to immediately start a peace process on the basis of existing internationally recognized agreements. UN Security Council decisions have not been implemented, the work of the Middle East Quartet has been hampered, talks have not been held, and this is the result," Bogdanov said.
