PETROZAVODSK, July 31. /TASS/. Russia’s special military operation has marked the beginning of a new phenomenon - the formation of a global majority, and Russia’s victory over the West in Ukraine will tilt the global balance in favor of a polycentric world order, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev said on Monday.

"As a matter of fact, the special military operation has literally given birth to a new phenomenon - the global majority, where many world nations demonstrate their readiness for independent development, for defending their national interests and getting rid of the hegemony of the United States and other Western countries," he said.

"Russia’s victory over the collective West in Ukraine will give a strong impetus to further changes in the global balance in favor of relations of mutual respect and equal dialogue, a polycentric world order rooted in the cultural and civilizational diversity of the world," he stressed.
