Russian forces eliminate Ukrainian military command near Belogorovka in LPR
It is specified that the Ukrainian command post was uncovered by Russia’s reconnaissance
LUGANSK, June 8. /TASS/. Russian forces delivered a strike on the Ukrainian army’s command post near the settlement of Belogorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), eliminating the enemy’s military command, LPR people’s militia retired Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko told TASS on Thursday.
NATO officers could have also been killed in the strike, the LPR officer said.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, the Ukrainian armed formations’ officer staff in charge of the offensive operation near the settlement of Belogorovka was wiped out as a result of a strike against the enemy’s command/observation post," Marochko said.
The Ukrainian command post was uncovered by Russia’s reconnaissance, he specified.
"After the coordinates were transmitted to a motorized howitzer battalion, a strike was delivered, as a result of which the command/observation post was obliterated together with the officer staff commanding the battle. According to unconfirmed data, foreigners, presumably from the NATO bloc, were among the officers," the LPR officer said.
Spokesman for Russia’s Battlegroup South Vadim Astafyev earlier told TASS that the battlegroup’s artillery had delivered a strike against the enemy’s fortified fire emplacement near the settlement of Belogorovka.
