GENICHESK, April 13. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian 120mm mortar and a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region, a spokesman for the regional emergency services reported on Thursday.

"Yesterday, artillery fire in the area of Ivanovka destroyed a 120mm mortar with ammunition and its team, killing three Ukrainian soldiers and wounding another five. At night, a 2S1 Gvozdika motorized howitzer was destroyed together with its ammunition in the area of the settlement of Daryevka. Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed," the spokesman said.

Overnight to Thursday, the Ukrainian military shelled five communities on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region, firing a total of 40 tube artillery shells, he said.
