MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russian combat aircraft struck a command post and a stronghold of two Ukrainian army battalions in the Avdeyevka area in the Donetsk People’s Republic, inflicting damage on enemy personnel, Spokesman for the Battlegroup South Ivan Bigma reported on Wednesday.

"In the Avdeyevka direction, aircraft of the Southern Military District delivered strikes against a command/observation post of a battalion from the Ukrainian army’s 53rd separate mechanized brigade and also against a stronghold of a battalion from the 110th separate mechanized brigade, with the enemy suffering personnel losses," the Russian Defense Ministry quoted the spokesman as saying on its Telegram channel.

In the Lisichansk area, an artillery unit from the battlegroup’s 2nd army corps wiped out an enemy ammunition depot near the settlement of Verkhnekamenskoye, the spokesman said.

In addition, in the area of Kramatorsk, a missile unit of the southern battlegroup struck two temporary deployment sites of the Ukrainian army’s 56th separate motorized infantry brigade, he added.
