Presidents of Russia, Uzbekistan discuss further strengthening of bilateral relations

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Kremlin’s press office said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The leaders discussed key issues of bilateral relations, including measures of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy," the statement reads.
"They have also confirmed mutual interest in further comprehensive strengthening of the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan," the statement added.
The leaders agreed to continue contacts at various levels, the Kremlin concluded.
The press service of the Uzbekistan’s leader announced earlier that Mirziyoyev and Putin discussed in their telephone conversation discussed the Innoprom exhibition, which will be held in Tashkent in late April, and other issues of economic cooperation.
