Russian troops make headway in Maryinka, Gorlovka areas, says DPR head

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Russian troops have considerably improved their positions in the Maryinka and Gorlovka areas, acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.
"Things are developing swiftly for the guys here [in Maryinka]. The tire repair plant is not such a big enterprise but the enemy set up quite a serious stronghold there and caused quite a lot of unpleasant things for our units. But now it is already under our control. We are pushing forward, taking enormous efforts," the acting DPR head said in a live broadcast on the Soloviev Live TV channel.
"In the Gorlovka or Mayorsk area, our guys have also considerably improved their positions," Pushilin said.
The acting DPR head earlier said that Russian forces had advanced in Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) and were now in control of three fourths of the city.
