Kazakhstan's new Minister of Foreign Affairs pays his first foreign visit to Russia
MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu on Tuesday who is in Moscow on an official visit. This is the first meeting between the Russian and Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministers since Nurtleu was appointed to a new role after heading presidential administration.
Kazakhstan's new Minister of Foreign Affairs pays his first foreign visit to Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry has previously stated that Moscow really appreciates such gesture from Kazakhstan.
The ministers will cover the entire scope of the bilateral agenda, including economic, cultural, and humanitarian aspects, during the talks. The parties are expected to discuss significant regional and international issues. "It is critical to continue on the path of coordinating efforts within the framework of such integration organizations as the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, and SCO," the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan will meet on the eve of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers (CMFA) meeting on April 14 in Samarkand. Kazakhstan, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, is one of Russia's most important CIS partners. The signing ceremony of the Action Plan for Cooperation between the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan for 2023-2024 is expected to take place during Nurtleu's visit to Russia.
