Russia aims to support allies in ensuring their security — Foreign Policy Concept

To achieve the strategic goals of foreign policy in cooperation with partners, the updated concept provides for the task of establishing "good neighbourly relations with contiguous states, and contribute to the prevention and elimination of tensions and conflicts in their territories"

MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Moscow aims to support its allies and partners in ensuring their security and sustainable development regardless of their international recognition, according to the new Russian Foreign Policy Concept, approved on Friday by a decree of President Vladimir Putin.

"[Russia aims to] provide assistance to Russian allies and partners in promoting shared interests, ensuring their security and sustainable development, irrespective of whether or not the allies and partners receive international recognition or membership of international organization," the document said.

To achieve the strategic goals of foreign policy in cooperation with partners, the updated concept provides for the task of establishing "good neighbourly relations with contiguous states, and contribute to the prevention and elimination of tensions and conflicts in their territories".
