Russia to hold UNSC meeting on April 10 about arms export violations — MFA
Maria Zakharova said Russia will take its place as president of the UN Security Council in April
MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. The Russian delegation will hold a meeting of the UN Security Council in April to discuss the risks associated with violating agreements on the export of military-purpose products, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
She said Russia will take its place as president of the UN Security Council in April.
"As one of the key events during this period, our delegation plans to hold a Security Council meeting on April 10 on the subject of ‘Risks arising from the violation of agreements on the regulation of exports of military-purpose products.’ In the current conditions, we are convinced that there needs to be a thorough analysis of the consequences of failing to comply with contractual commitments on the so-called end user when it comes to supplies of military-purpose products, as well as a discussion about ways to resist such destructive moves," the diplomat said at a news conference.
