MELITOPOL, March 29. /TASS/. Electricity grid in the Zaporozhye Region city of Melitopol was damaged by Ukrainian shelling early on Wednesday, causing the disruption of power supplies to the city and its outskirts, a spokesperson for the city’s emergencies services told reporters.
"As a result of a shelling attack on Melitopol by pro-Kiev militants, power grid elements were damaged. Power supplies to Melitopol and several nearby settlements had to be urgently halted," the spokesperson said.
On Wednesday, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will pay a visit to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), located in the city of Energodar of the same region. It will be his second trip to the nuclear facility in the past six months. Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told TASS on Tuesday that Ukrainian troops may stage provocations during the visit.
