Kremlin appreciates Serbia’s not imposing sanctions against Russia
On Monday, Serbian Economy Minister Rade Basta called on his nation to impose such restrictions
MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Moscow appreciates Belgrade’s not joining the anti-Russian sanctions amid unprecedented pressure and expects to continue solving complicated issues with its partner in the future, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
When asked by a TASS reporter how Moscow would react if Belgrade joined the sanctions, Peskov said, "We are well aware that unprecedented, silly and unlawful pressure that runs counter to international law is being exerted on lots of countries, including Serbia. Especially on Serbia. We understand that things have changed, but we expect to solve the most pressing issues as partners while maintaining the trusting dialogue with the Serbian leadership."
On Monday, Serbian Economy Minister Rade Basta called on his nation to impose such restrictions. According to him, his country "is already paying a high price for not imposing sanctions against Russia and that’s becoming unbearable.".
