Kiev troops’ strikes on Donbass go unnoticed by world community — LPR ombudsperson
"Ukrainian military criminals will pay for their deeds to the full extent that the law allows," Victoria Serdyukova stressed
LUGANSK, March 13. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army’s crimes, including strikes on Donbass that kill civilians, go unnoticed by the global human rights community, the ombudsperson of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Victoria Serdyukova, said on Monday.
On March 12, the LPR mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes reported that the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the town of Perevalsk using a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher. Three civilians were killed and 16 others, including four children, were wounded as a result of the strike.
"On March 12, Ukrainian armed units struck the peaceful town of Perevalsk, located deep in the backcountry, with a HIMARS MLRS. This barbaric shelling claimed the lives of three people, including a 17-year-old teenager. <...> The aftermath of the strike demonstrates the Nazis' goal of killing as many civilians as possible, which is a flagrant crime against humanity according to the international laws of warfare," the ombudsperson wrote on her Telegram channel.
"<...> The bloody crimes that the Ukrainian armed forces commit in plain view of the world regretfully go unnoticed by the international human rights community," she blogged.
"Ukrainian military criminals will pay for their deeds to the full extent that the law allows," Serdyukova stressed.
Earlier, retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko of the LPR People's Militia said that Ukrainian troops had fired a shrapnel-type GMLRS M30A1 rocket, which is banned for use under international law. The missile was tentatively launched from the area of the Kiev-controlled town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, he added.
