Russian PM to begin meetings with parliamentary factions ahead of government report

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday will launch consultations with State Duma members as part of arrangements for the cabinet’s annual report to the lower house of parliament.

On Monday, Mishustin will hold meetings with representatives of the United Russia and LDRP factions at the government headquarters.

This week, the premier is expected to meet with all the five parliamentary factions: his consultations with CPRF and A Just Russia - For Truth may take place on Wednesday, and he may have a meeting with the faction of The New People party on Thursday.

The cabinet has said working consultations with MPs ahead of the annual report enable an enhanced cooperation between the government and lawmakers. The format was first tested in 2021.

The government is expected to deliver its report next week. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said the event may take place during the plenary week of March 21-23, and the dates were confirmed by Mishustin’s Spokesman Boris Belyakov.
