MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russia will permanently develop countermeasures to any unacceptable US moves in the area of arms control, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Wednesday.

"We are saying that countermeasures to any unacceptable behavior by the US will be developed, worked on, studied on a permanent basis," he said, when asked about any potential changes to the Russian military doctrine following the suspension of participation in the New START. "But there are no grounds to make these conclusions now."

The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that Russia will be closely watching further moves by the US and its allies in the arms control realm and, more broadly, on the trek of international security.
