Denmark, Germany, Sweden failed to inform Russia on Nord Stream inquiry — UN mission

UNITED NATIONS, February 22. /TASS/. Germany, Denmark and Sweden have not yet notified Russia about an inquiry into last year's sabotage attacks targeting the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky told reporters on Tuesday.

The governments of the three states have sent a letter to the United Nations, saying that they have not yet completed an investigation into the blasts that damaged the pipelines.

"They are claiming that they are informing Russia about it, which is not true," Polyansky said.

On February 17, Russia submitted a draft UN Security Council resolution to investigate the attack on its gas system. It proposes that the UN secretary general create an independent international commission of lawyers to investigate the sabotage.
