Security chief says Russia to host security meeting in May
The 11th international meeting of high representatives overseeing security issues will be held in the Moscow Region on May 23 to 25
MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. A meeting of high representatives of various countries on security will be held in the Moscow Region in May, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said on Tuesday.
"I am counting on the personal participation of member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politburo Chen Wenqing, Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, in the 11th international meeting of high representatives overseeing security issues in the Moscow Region on May 23 to 25," he said during a meeting with Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the CCP Central Foreign Affairs Commission and member of the CCP Politburo.
Patrushev regularly participates in meetings of security representatives from various countries, either through associations or on specific issues. For example, in early February, Moscow hosted multilateral consultations on Afghanistan, attended by national security advisers or secretaries of the Security Councils from India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
