MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US actor Steven Seagal, who is the Russian Foreign Ministry’s representative for Russian-US humanitarian ties, have held a meeting and emphasized the importance of maintaining communication on nongovernment level in the context of confrontation around the world, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"It was emphasized during the conversation that it’s important to maintain communication on nongovernment level and among societies and people in the context of the sharply escalated confrontation around the world," the statement said.

Lavrov and Seagal have also discussed other pressing issues, the ministry said.
