MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. The situation with difficulties in issuing visas for Russian delegations going to Vienna to participate in events will not go unanswered, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Thursday in connection with the summoning of Austrian ambassador in Moscow.

"The ambassador's attention was also drawn to the emerging difficulties in processing visas for official Russian delegations going to Vienna to participate in multilateral events, which contradicted Austria's commitments as a venue for international meetings. This situation will not go unanswered either," the ministry noted.

On Thursday, the Austrian ambassador to Moscow was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was strongly protested over Vienna's declaration of four employees of Russian foreign missions in Austria as personae non gratae. Russia retaliated by expelling four Austrian diplomats and ordering them to leave the country by the end of February 23.
