MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russian forces achieved certain successes in their advance towards Seversk as a vital area for liberating Krasny Liman, acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.

"Today Seversk and the surrounding area are vital for subsequently liberating Krasny Liman. There are certain successes there," the DPR leader said in a live broadcast on the Soloviev Live TV Channel.

Russian troops are so far advancing on Seversk outskirts, Pushilin said.

"Each community, each [retaken] enemy position improves our forces’ positions," he added.
