MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. The "infernal" sanctions imposed by the West have failed to shake the stability of the Russian economy, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday on his Telegram channel.

"Hostile countries are not courageous enough to recognize that their ‘infernal’ sanctions fell flat. [They] don’t work," Medvedev said. The vast majority of industrial products and consumer goods have been replaced with domestic ones and the missing ones - by Asian brands, the official noted. "At the same time, even the IMF forecasts economic growth in Russia this year," the politician added.

Meanwhile, parallel imports are also working and Russian consumers are receiving the same Western brands, Medvedev added.
