Russia gives high marks to privileged strategic partnership with India — Putin

MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India’s Republic Day.

"We set a high value on the relations of privileged strategic partnership between our states. I am confident that by working together we can ensure the continued growth of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in all areas. This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and India," the Kremlin website quoted him as saying on Thursday.

"I sincerely wish you good health and success and happiness and well-being to all Indian citizens," Putin concluded.

Republic Day is India’s national holiday. On January 26, 1950, the country was proclaimed a sovereign republic.
