Dmitry Peskov stressed that the sooner Kiev shows its willingness to consider Moscow's demands, the faster the conflict in Ukraine would end

MOSCOW, January 19. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said he might agree that for Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the entire Kiev regime, the very presence of Russia and its President Vladimir Putin in this world was a problem and that both Zelensky and his entourage would have felt far more comfortable in a different reality, where neither ever existed.

"It is clear that both Russia and Putin are a big problem for today's Ukraine and for Zelensky. It is likewise clear that purely psychologically, Mr. Zelensky would prefer that neither Russia nor Putin ever existed," Peskov said in response to a request from TASS to comment on the Ukrainian leader’s statements that he was not sure that the Russian president who, he alleged, sometimes appears filmed supposedly with the use of green screen technology, was the real Putin or that he was still even alive.

At the same time, Peskov stressed that the sooner Kiev shows its willingness to consider Moscow's demands, the faster the conflict in Ukraine would end.

"The sooner the Ukrainian regime realizes and comes to grips with the fact that both Russia and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin do exist in reality and are not going anywhere, and that sooner or later it will have to give up everything anti-Russian, the better for Ukraine as a country," Peskov said.

He also added that "the sooner the Ukrainian regime shows its readiness to take into account Russia’s demands and goals, which will be achieved one way or another, the quicker everything will end and the people of Ukraine can begin to recover from the tragedy that the current regime in Kiev has arranged."
