GENICHESK, January 17. /TASS/. Two people were killed and three, including one child, were injured in the Ukrainian night shelling of Kakhovka, Kherson Region, the Kakhovka military-civilian administration told reporters Tuesday.
"The Ukrainian military shelled Kakhovka on the night of January 17. The attack resulted in two people killed and a child injured. Two more people sustained shrapnel injuries. They were hospitalized to the Kakhovka central district hospital. The medics assess their condition as of medium gravity," the statement says.
The Ukrainian side intentionally continues to shell city infrastructure, the administration underscored.
"The Ukrainian military aggression results in constant suffering of civilians. The Administration of the Kakhovka municipal district strongly urges residents of the city and the district within 15 kilometers from Dnieper to temporarily evacuate. Currently, the evacuation is underway to the city of Yekaterinburg," the administration said.
