MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed eight Ukrainian army command posts in the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Monday.
"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops obliterated eight enemy command posts in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Kruglyakovka in the Kharkov Region, Pobeda, Vodyanoye and Prechistovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Dudchany, Kazatskoye and Tokarevka in the Kherson Region, and also 57 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 124 areas," the spokesman said.
Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Kupyansk area, eliminating over 50 militants in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy’s two company tactical groups attempted to attack the Russian positions in the area of the settlement of Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the attacks were repelled and the Ukrainian army units were pushed back to initial positions near the community of Berestovoye in the Kharkov Region," the spokesman said.
During the combat, Russian forces destroyed over 50 Ukrainian troops, one tank, two armored personnel carriers and one pickup truck, the general specified.
Russian artillery inflicted damage on two Ukrainian company tactical groups advancing for an attack in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Krasny Liman area, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, in the area of the Serebryansky forestry in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Russian artillery fire inflicted damage on two Ukrainian company tactical groups advancing towards the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova for an attack," the spokesman said.
Russian forces eliminated enemy manpower and military equipment during the combat, the general said.
"As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the enemy units were scattered. Over 30 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored vehicles and three pickup trucks were destroyed," Konashenkov reported.
The Ukrainian military suffered about 80 casualties in its failed attempts to counter-attack in the Artyomovsk area in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general said.
In the Artyomovsk area, the enemy’s four company tactical groups attempted to counter-attack in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka, Bakhmutskoye, Yakovlevka and Ivangrad in the Donetsk People’s Republic to halt the advance of Russian troops, the spokesman said.
"As a result of damage inflicted by combined firepower, the Ukrainian army units were halted and scattered. As many as 80 Ukrainian troops, one tank, three combat armored vehicles, two pickup trucks and one motor vehicle were destroyed," the general specified.
Russian forces thwarted two Ukrainian army counter-attacks in the southern Donetsk area, eliminating over 50 militants in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the southern Donetsk direction, artillery strikes and operations of Russian assault units repelled two Ukrainian army counter-attacks in the area of the communities of Neskuchnoye and Oktyabr in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In the past 24 hours, over 50 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 combat armored vehicles and an infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed," the spokesman said.
The Russian Aerospace Forces delivered a strike by precision weapons against amassed Ukrainian manpower and military equipment in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, eliminating over 100 militants in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"A precision strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces against amassed manpower and military hardware of the Ukrainian army’s 17th armored brigade near the Moiseyevka station in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, eight armored and five motor vehicles were destroyed as they were being loaded onto railway transporters," the spokesman said.
The precision strike also wiped out the Ukrainian army’s manpower, the general said.
"Over 100 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated," Konashenkov reported.
Russian forces destroyed two Ukrainian army ammunition depots in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the areas of the settlements of Terny and Kurdyumovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, two ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army were destroyed," the spokesman said.
Russian air defense forces intercepted two HARM anti-radar missiles in the Kherson Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"Two HARM anti-radiation missiles were intercepted in the area of the settlement of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.
In addition, Russian air defense capabilities destroyed seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Zhitlovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Soledar and Volnovakha in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Skadovsk and Chaplinka in the Kherson Region, the general said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 333 Ukrainian warplanes, 177 helicopters, 2,572 unmanned aerial vehicles, 390 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,866 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 904 multiple rocket launchers, 3,624 field artillery guns and mortars and 7,395 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
