Russia and Kazakhstan have friendly relations — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow and Astana had established a "maximally advanced partnership" which were mutually beneficial

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Relations between Moscow and Astana are friendly and partner-like in nature, the claims of ‘experts’ contradicting that should not be paid attention to, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"The opinions of experts on this topic are absolutely unimportant, one should not pay attention to them. One should pay attention to the friendly, partner-like, allied nature of relations between our two countries," he said in reply to a request to characterize relations between Russia and Kazakhstan amid the fact that experts were voicing different opinions.

Peskov said that Moscow and Astana had established a "maximally advanced partnership" which were mutually beneficial. Relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, he continued, were based on mutual respect and readiness to help each other. Their ties were also based on cooperation within the CIS and the EAEU, the Kremlin's spokesman pointed out.
