It is reported that mobile communications are also problematic

KIEV, November 25. /TASS/. Kiev municipal officials declared on Friday that there was no power supply in half of the houses in the Ukrainian capital, and that during the day plans are in store to alternately provide light to all consumers for three hours.

"Fifty percent of the city's available housing is in emergency power outage mode," the municipal military administration wrote on its Telegram channel.

The authorities also stated that the city's water supply has been fully restored, but some consumers may experience insufficient water pressure, particularly on the upper floors of high-rise buildings. Emergency crews are working to restore power and heat.

Mobile communications are also problematic. "The functioning of all mobile operators' networks is directly dependent on the power supply. Communication will be available in all districts of Kiev as soon as the power system stabilizes," the administration pledged.

On Wednesday, an air alert was issued throughout Ukraine that lasted for more than two hours. Dnepr, Kiev, Lvov, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kharkov, and other cities reported explosions and damage to infrastructure facilities. According to Ukraine's Ministry of Energy, all three nuclear power plants under Kiev's control (Rovenskaya, Khmelnitskaya, and Yuzhno-Ukrainskaya) were cut off from the power grid, as were most thermal and hydroelectric power plants, and power transmission facilities.
