UNITED NATIONS, November 24. /TASS/. Ukrainian air defense forces are responsible for civilian casualties and the destruction of dwelling houses, since Ukrainian troops place air defense systems in central parts of cities, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations said on Wednesday.
"Ukraine’s air defense systems, which are placed not in the suburbs but in central parts of cities, are to blame for the damages to housing and casualties among civilians. Fragment of rockets or stray Ukrainian rockets fall down to those area Russia never targeted," he said at a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.
As an example, he cited photos of rockets hitting dwelling houses in Kiev and Vyshgorod, which were posted in the internet by Ukrainian users. "These rockets proved to be American air defense rockets," he noted. "I would like draw the attention of our Western colleagues: you reckless flooding Ukraine with weapons entail civilian deaths not only in Donbass, but also in Ukrainian cities.
On February 24, Putin launched a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the Donbass republics. After that, the West imposed sweeping sanctions against Russia and beefed up arms supplies to the Kiev regime worth tens of billions of dollars.
