KIEV, November 21. /TASS/. Emergency power blackouts began in Kiev on Monday, the press service of the city’s power company reported.

"Emergency blackouts are underway in Kiev. The blackout schedule that was announced earlier is currently not in effect," according to the company’s statement posted on its website.

Earlier, emergency blackouts also began in the Odessa region.

On Sunday, the Ukrenergo power company reported that on Monday rolling blackouts would be introduced across Ukraine. Emergency blackouts were not forecasted.
