MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Washington does not give a damn about the results of the investigation into the incident with the missile fall in the Polish village of Przewodow, the US always has someone ‘to hold responsible’, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
She drew attention to a statement by US National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson that the country ultimately held the Russian side responsible for the missile incident on Polish territory, although Washington had no information that contradicted the preliminary conclusions that it was a Ukrainian air defense system.
"Now Americans will finally understand why the assassin of President John F. Kennedy has still not been found, why the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were not prevented, why politicians and corresponding American officials always get away with their dirty affairs, why thousands of high-profile cases have not been solved. The US government doesn’t give a damn about the results of the investigation. The White House has never been so blatant about it. The US government always has someone to ‘hold accountable’ for political reasons," she wrote on her Telegram channel on Wednesday.
On November 15, a missile fell in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland’s Lublin Voivodeship on the border with Ukraine, killing two people. According to Polish President Andrzej Duda, this was not a deliberate attack on Poland. Warsaw has learned that the projectile was most likely an S-300 missile produced in the 1970s, used by the Ukrainian missile anti-aircraft forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry slammed the Polish media and statements coming from officials in Warsaw that the missile was allegedly Russian-made as a provocation, saying that Moscow did not strike anything near the Ukrainian-Polish border. The top brass pointed out that judging by the published photos, the debris had nothing to do with Russian missiles.
