WARSAW, November 10. /TASS/. Poland has added Apty Alaudinov, aide to the head of Chechnya, and commander of the Akhmat special operations unit, to its sanctions list, the Rzeczpospolita reported Thursday.

Inclusion on this list means "a freezing of funds and all economic assets, a prohibition on direct or indirect provision of any funds or economic resources, a ban on deliberate and intentional participation in actions that aim to or result in circumvention of the mentioned measures, as well as inclusion on the list of people, whose presence in the Republic of Poland is undesirable."

The accompanying memo says that Alaudinov may use his connections and available funds to support the special military operation in Ukraine.

"Since 2020, he has been subjected to an entry ban and freezing of banking accounts in the UK; he is currently not on the EU sanctions list," the Polish authorities noted.

On April 26, Poland published its sanctions list against Russia and Belarus, which included 50 entities - 35 companies and 15 people. Polish sanctions imply the freezing of financial assets and property, exclusion of companies from tenders, and, in the case of people - an entry ban.

Polish authorities said that the list will be expanded as necessary. Alaudinov has become the 17th person on the Polish list.
